2025 Strategic Goals - Monterey County
Commitment to Justice: We must prioritize real racial, social, and criminal justice initiatives within Monterey County.
Support Branch Leadership: It’s essential to engage with and support the activities our branch leadership has organized to strengthen community involvement.
Active Membership: Every member should aim to participate actively, moving beyond mere membership on paper.
Unity and Collaboration: We need to work together effectively, setting aside any infighting that may create divisions within the branch.
Monthly Reporting: Committee Chairs are required to submit written reports detailing activities from the previous and current months, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Confidentiality: Internal discussions and decisions are meant to be confidential and should not be shared through gossip.
Leadership Training: A training session for newly elected and appointed Executive Committee Members is scheduled for January 24 & 25, 2025
Professional Conduct: We will adhere to the Bylaws and Robert’s Rules of Order to ensure good order and professional conduct within the committee.
Support Fundraising Efforts: Actively support our branch fundraising initiatives. Upcoming events include the Ministers’/Stephen E. Ross Breakfast on February 1, 2025, and the Freedom Fund Banquet on September 20, 2025, with potential for more events to be announced.
Recruitment: Focus on recruiting new members across all demographics—adults, college students, and youth.
