“WHY ALL THE CONVERSATIONS ABOUT RACISM?”

facilitated by LaVerne McLeod, Diversity & Equity workshop trainer

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This Bridge Building to Equity Workshop© is an opportunity to go beyond guilt and fragility about the conversation of racism, to rising to the occasion of creating an equitable society. In a non-conventional, embracing environment, we will dive deep into the conversations surrounding racism, as the “how come” or “why” becomes more evident. In addition to our discussions, the element of play and artistic activities will be interjected. We can then analyze possibilities for “new” mindsets that can open needed doors to change.

WORKSHOP VENUE

This is a unique workshop because it takes place in a non-conventional rustic setting (a pristine mountain view Big Sur environment). As mentioned before, you will be notified with address and directions once you have registered. We will meet in an enclosed octagon structure, designed to hold over 60 folks. The workshop is limited to 15-20 folks which gives ample room for everyone. An alternate space will be available in event of inclement weather.

Designed for 1-full day. Arriving before or by 9:00am is essential and ending at 6:00pm and having dinner before departing.
